A Tobacco-Free Workplace

In an effort to promote a healthy work environment and the overall health of our caregivers, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center enforces a smoke free campus.  In addition, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center does not hire those who use tobacco products (i.e., cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and chewing tobacco).  To ensure compliance, all prospective caregivers are required to submit to nicotine testing as part of our pre-employment process.  Those testing positive will be disqualified for employment.


For more than 10 years, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center has had a successful monthly employee recognition program. We call it our Caregiver of the Month. Caregivers nominate an individual who exemplifies our mission and values. The Service Excellence Committee members then vote on the blind nominations. Each Caregiver of the Month is also eligible for Caregiver of the Year.
