The Women’s Heart Care Team

Jayati Rakhit, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Jayati Rakhit, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Jayati Rakhit, M.D., F.A.C.C., is a member of the Women’s Heart Care Team at St. Vincent Charity Hospital. She is board-certified in cardiology, and trained in cardiac catherization and angioplasty procedures.

Dr. Rakhit received her medical degree and completed an internship at the University of India, Calcutta Medical College. She went on to complete an internship, externship and residency at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. She completed fellowships in general cardiology at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland, and in interventional cardiology at The University of Wisconsin, Sinai Samaritan Medical Center.

Dr. Rakhit is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Heart Association and the Society for Angiography and Intervention. While at Columbia University, Dr. Rakhit was nominated as the best intern and best teacher of medical students.


Laurie S. Sadler, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Laurie S. Sadler, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Laurie S. Sadler, M.D., F.A.C.P., is a member of the Women’s Heart Care Team at St. Vincent Charity Hospital. As medical director and site principal investigator of the Center for Vascular Health at St. Vincent Charity Hospital, she manages patient-directed cardiovascular prevention and risk reduction programs, and conducts clinical research for improving cardiovascular health.

Dr. Sadler holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry for Life Sciences from John Carroll University and a medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. She completed her residency training at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She also serves as an assistant professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine.

Honored with the Cleveland Magazine’s peer-nominated ‘Top Doctor Award’ (1997, 1998, 2002-2006), Dr. Sadler is an advocate for education and prevention programs to improve the cardiovascular health of the community.


Mona L. Reed, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I.

Mona L. Reed, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I., is a member of the Women’s Heart Care Team at St. Vincent Charity Hospital. She is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular diseases and vascular medicine.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, Dr. Reed earned her medical degree from the Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine and completed an invasive cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

In addition to working as an assistant professor of medicine at the Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine, Dr. Reed is active in the St. Vincent Charity Hospital Regional Center for Blood Conservation and serves on the Board of Directors of the FMA Health Education Network.


Mallory L. McClure, M.D.

Mallory L. McClure, M.D.

Mallory L. McClure, M.D., is a member of the Women’s Heart Care Team at St. Vincent Charity Hospital.

Dr. McClure received her bachelor’s degree in human biology from Brown University in Providence, RI, and her medical degree from the University of Virginia, School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Va. She completed the Duke University Medical Center’s Categorical Internal Medicine Residency Program and a cardiology fellowship at the Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine Metro Health Program.

Dr. McClure is active in her community and is a member of the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church Combined Choir and Physicians Ministry. She also is a member of the Association of Black Cardiologists.
