Gerard V. Yu, DPM

Director of Podiatric Residency Training

Dr. Yu received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland in 1976. After an additional year of graduate study, he attended the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine) where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1981. He went on to complete a three-year residency in trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot, ankle and lower leg at Doctors Hospital in Tucker, Georgia, now known as the Northlake Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Yu has a long-standing history of service to his profession for which he has received several national awards of distinction. Previously he served as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and the Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic where he served on the faculty for seven years. He holds adjunct clinical faculty member appointments from several colleges of podiatric medicine throughout the United States. With the American board of Podiatric Surgery, he has served as an oral examiner, Chairman of the Rear foot and Ankle Examinations Committee for several years in addition to serving several examinations committees and the Board of Directors for a three-year term. He has been a faculty member of the Podiatry Institute, a non-profit teaching foundation, for 17 years and served on the Board of Directors for two consecutive terms. He serves as an editor for several peer review journals including the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is active in several professional organizations where he often serves in leadership roles.

Dr. Yu has demonstrated a strong commitment to the education and training of students and residents. He is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Practice of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He is Chief of the Section of Podiatry, Department of Surgery at Huron Hospital in East Cleveland.

Dr. Yu is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Over the span of his career he has authored/co-authored numerous scientific articles, abstracts and book chapters and lectures on a regular basis at the various local, state, national and international scientific meetings and programs. He is most recognized for his stimulating presentations on cutting edge techniques in rear foot and ankle surgery. He currently maintains a referral based private practice dedicated to reconstructive surgery of the foot, ankle and lower leg.

W. Michael Forman, DPM

Director of Residency Education, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center

Dr. Forman attended Kent State University and received a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1966. He completed his residency training at the Cleveland Foot Clinics of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and affiliated hospitals. He went to serve as a clinician at the Cleveland Foot Clinics and became a Clinical Instructor in Surgery, and Professor of Orthopedics and Biomechanics at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine.

He remains committed to podiatric education of both students and residents, serving in the past as Director of Podiatric Residency Training at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center and Woman's General Hospital. He has served as Chief of Podiatry at Woman's General Hospital, Deaconess Hospital, and the Mt. Sinai Medical Center. He has held leadership positions, including President of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association and served as delegate to the American Podiatric Medical Association.

In addition to his position at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center , Dr. Forman is a Senior Clinical Instructor, Department of Family Practice, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He is board certified with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, Orthopedic Section.

Molly S. Judge, DPM

Director of Externship Programs, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center

Dr. Judge received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from the University of Cincinnati in 1985. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1994. Her surgical residency was completed at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio in 1996. Under the auspices of Gerard V. Yu, Dr. Judge finished her fellowship program in major reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in 1997. She also attended the Hillcrest Hospital Institute of Nuclear Medicine, where she became board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons and was accepted as a fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (2002).

Dr. Judge has published several articles and contributed to many books throughout the course of her career. She has 11 published works and 11 publications and journals in preparation. Furthermore, she currently serves as a contributing editor to the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association (JAPMA). She also serves on the peer review committee for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery (JAFAS) and was a fellow author on a chapter in the Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

As an innovator in her field, Dr. Judge has received many honors and awards. Among them are: The William J. Stickle Gold Award, Wally Wiseman Award for Surgical Excellence, National Collegiate Student Government Award and was listed in Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges for three consecutive years.

An active participant in the medical community, Dr. Judge has been a member of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association and served as president of the Northeast Ohio Podiatric Medical Association in 2000 and vice president in 1999. She also serves as the official foot and ankle physician for the Jamie Farr-Kroger Classic LPGA Golf Tournament and for the Toledo Storm Hockey Team.

In addition to her position at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center , Dr. Judge is also a member of the adjunct clinical faculty at all colleges of podiatric medicine in the United States, including: California CCPM, Pennsylvania Temple University TUSPM, New York NYCPM, Chicago Scholl College, Iowa CPMS and Florida Barry University BUSPM. She also serves as a Scientific Chairperson for the Northwest Ohio Academy of Podiatric Medicine's Seminar on the Bay, of which she developed and currently chairs.
