Podiatric Surgical Residency Program
St. Vincent Charity Medical Center Podiatric Surgical Residency Program is dedicated to the education of podiatric students and residents. Under the leadership of Michael Canales, D.P.M., and Wassim Khoury, D.P.M., the program is recognized as one of the best in the country. It is currently a 3-year medical and surgical residency and is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a Podiatric Medicine & Surgery-36 (PM&S-36). The hospital is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Center Application Service Podiatric Residency Match (CASPR).
Our comprehensive three-year program includes:
- A dedicated faculty who believe in mentoring the doctors of the future
- An externship program for senior podiatry students
- Residents who are published in medical textbooks and journals
- A teaching Hospital with residency programs in several departments, including Podiatry, Clinical Pastoral Education, Dentistry and Internal Medicine.
