CLEVELAND, OHIO— (May 17,2010)—The Board of Trustees of InterAct Cleveland announce that Sr. Mary Ann Mozser, Vice President of Mission and Ministry at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center has been named the 2010 recipient of the Homeless Stand Down InterActer of the Year Award.
“An award like this is very humbling while at the same time much appreciated. It is our mission personally and that of St. Vincent Charity Medical Center that calls us to be of service to our brothers and sisters. It is truly our pleasure to be part of this program and in a way it is a boost to our own spirits and our sense of gratitude for the blessings in our lives,” said Mozser.
This award is given by InterAct Cleveland to an individual who has given outstanding service to the Homeless Stand Down—contributing significantly to building relationships across diverse religious traditions.
Hosted by the West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church, the award was presented at InterAct Cleveland’s “Love Shines Through” Annual Recognition Celebration on May 13.
Mozser accepted the award with senior podiatry residents Adriana Krywiak, DPM and Coralia Terol, DPM. Mozser looks forward to sharing this award with well-deserving residents who have participated in the Homeless Stand Down for five consecutive years. “I am always impressed with the genuine care and concern shown by our young doctors as they tend to the feet of the poor. Each person is listened to with respect and care,” she said.
