CLEVELAND, OH—(June 24, 2011)—St. Vincent Charity Medical Center’s marketing department has garnered a second industry award for its “My New Life” campaign, promoting the Center for Bariatric Surgery.

The Medical Center received a Silver Award from the Healthcare Advertising Awards, sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. In May it also received a Silver Award from the Aster Awards. Nearly 4,000 entries were received in this year’s competition, making the awards the largest healthcare advertising awards competition.

A national panel of judges was engaged in reviewing all entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.

The “My New Life” campaign, created in collaboration with Cleveland-based Twist Creative and Authentic Films, was one of 240 entries to receive a Silver Award.

“We are thrilled to have received this second honor for our bariatric advertising campaign,” said Wendy A. Hoke, director of marketing and communications at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center. “With the support and trust of our program surgeons, staff, patients and creative team, we were able to create something memorable and inspirational. It is always an honor to be recognized for our work by our peers,” said Hoke.
