Pizazzz 2006 Set To Dazzle And Entertain Clevelanders Saturday, Oct. 21

Gala Event to Benefit St. Vincent Charity Hospital Emergency Department

Cleveland (October 2006) – The Renaissance Cleveland Hotel will serve as the site of one of Cleveland’s largest and most spectacular events on Saturday, October 21. Pizazzz 2006 is a black-tie gala benefit hosted by Cleveland’s longest-serving hospital, St. Vincent Charity Hospital. Chairperson and Premier Sponsor of the event are Phil Rice and National City.

The biennial event, which is always a sell-out, attracts nearly 1,200 guests, including city officials, community leaders, and friends and supporters of the Hospital. The evening will include glamour, musical entertainment and a special purpose – to raise funds for the renovation of the Emergency Department at St. Vincent Charity Hospital.

“As the downtown hospital, St. Vincent Charity Hospital is likely to be the treatment hospital for residents, workers and visitors in the downtown area who experience a medical emergency,” said Jeffrey S. Jeney, president and CEO, St. Vincent Charity Hospital. “Therefore, it is crucial that we invest in renovations and programmatic developments that will enhance our ability to provide quality, patient-focused care, as well as allow for maximum flexibility as community needs change and grow in the future.”

The theme of Pizazzz 2006 – “A Cleveland Celebration” – signifies the vital role that the Hospital has held for more than 141 years. “We really wanted to emphasize the Hospital’s long-standing dedication to downtown Cleveland – past, present and future,” said Benefit Coordinator Patricia Milenius.

Back by popular demand, Pizazzz 2006 will feature the nationally renowned Michael Carney Orchestra. The New York-based group is famous for its larger-than-life, ballroom-style entertainment.

Individual tickets for the event range from $250 - $1,000. Table sponsorships range from $2,500 - $25,000, which includes a table of 10, special program listing and priority seating. For ticket information, contact Patricia Milenius at 216.377.4356.
