St. Vincent Charity Hospital Honors Linda Auger, RN, as 2005 Caregiver of the Year

Cleveland (February 2006) – St. Vincent Charity Hospital (SVCH) recently named Linda Auger, RN, as Caregiver of the Year, 2005. “We are proud to recognize Linda for serving as a true embodiment of the mission of St. Vincent Charity Hospital and incorporating our core values of integrity, respect, quality and teamwork in her daily actions,” said Jeffrey S. Jeney, SVCH President and CEO.

The announcement was made January 31 during the Hospital’s annual Caregiver of the Year recognition ceremony. Auger was selected by Hospital employees from among 12 candidates who were honored as Caregiver of the Month award recipients in 2005.

“Linda believes that providing patient care as a nurse is more than a job, it is her calling. She is kind, considerate and always goes above and beyond to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of her patients,” said Sharon Thomas, RN, MBA, SVCH Chief Nursing Officer. “We are truly blessed to have her as a member of our care-giving team.”

Auger, who joined the Hospital in 1999, works as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. She holds an Associate’s degree in Nursing from Lakeland Community College, and has EMT, PAL, CCRN and BTLS certifications. Auger and her husband, Glen, reside in Kirtland, Ohio.
