Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan Enrollment: Making It Simple

St. Vincent Charity Hospital to Hold Education and Enrollment Sessions

Cleveland – The Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine Health System (CSA Health System) and St. Vincent Charity Hospital will host a two-day education and enrollment event on March 9 and 10, 2006, to help simplify the new Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit enrollment process. Time is of the essence; the initial enrollment period is scheduled to end May 15, 2006. All are welcome to attend one or both sessions.

Educational Session

WHO: Semanthie Brooks, Director of Community Advocacy for Benjamin Rose, will share some basic information about the new benefit, including what it is, who is eligible for coverage, when one can enroll, how to sign up and why seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries should consider it.

WHAT: Medicare prescription drug coverage educational session.

WHEN: Thursday, March 9, 2006 - 10:00 A.M. to 12 noon

WHERE: St. Vincent Charity Hospital - St. Vincent De Paul Room (near the cafeteria) 2351 E. 22nd Street, Cleveland

Enrollment Session

WHO: The Fairhill Center for the Aging team of enrollment specialists will walk seniors through the process of selecting the plan that’s right for them.

WHAT: For the enrollment session, seniors are asked to bring a list of medications they are currently using, including dosages, and the name of their preferred pharmacy. Seniors or friends and family members of Medicare beneficiaries interested in attending one or more of these sessions should RSVP to Jean or Eileen at (216) 363-3366.
