Learning Objectives:
At the end of the presentation, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss and summarize the basic beliefs systems of individuals affected by alcohol and other mood altering chemicals.
  • Differentiate between myths and facts regarding the development process of the professional in recovery
  • Delineate various risk factors and consequences of relapse for the professional in recovery

Accreditation:  St. Vincent Charity Medical Center is accreditated by the Ohio State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Designation:  St. Vincent Charity Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nursing:  CME credit can be used as continuing education credit for relicensure purposes for RN's and LPN's.
Social Work:  Continuing education contact hour for social work will be given. St. Vincent Charity Medical Center (RXS091101) is approved as a provider of continuing social work education by the State of Ohio Social Worker Board.
